Welcome to Wandering Bear Lodge, a spacious 4-bedroom, 4-bath mountain chalet nestled just inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and ideally located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You’ll enjoy a peaceful, wooded mountain setting while being only 3 miles from downtown Pigeon Forge and 5 miles from Gatlinburg, giving you easy access to all the area’s most popular attractions without sacrificing privacy or tranquility.

Inside, the cabin is designed for both relaxation and entertainment. The main level features a cozy living room with a seasonal wood-burning fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen for home-cooked meals, and a dining area with breakfast bar seating. A queen bedroom and full bathroom are located on this level, along with a second bathroom featuring a modern walk-in shower. Just off the kitchen, the family game area offers a pool table, arcade-style game, big-screen TV, and a private indoor jetted tub—perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure.
Step outside to the large open deck, where you’ll find seating for everyone, a gas grill, corn hole, and a relaxing hot tub surrounded by the sights and sounds of the mountains. Wildlife sightings, including the occasional bear, add to the authentic Smoky Mountain experience.
Upstairs, the sleeping accommodations provide comfort and privacy for groups and families. A king suite includes its own private bathroom, while an additional king bedroom and a queen bedroom share a full bathroom in the hallway.
On the lower level, outside, evenings can be spent gathered around the outdoor fire pit under the stars.

"It was out 2nd Annual Friends Trip. Check in was easy. I received everything I needed ahead of time. It was a little difficulty first trying to find the property..my gps went out and there is a hidden driveway. Nonetheless we found it. Power was out due to a storm but was back on within a few hours . We made the best of it in the dark. When I say this property exceeded my expectations..everyone loved it. Very spacious and the privacy was everything!! It was very clean. We enjoyed the patio with hot tub, corn hole, and the game room. We would definitely book this property again!!"

You couldn't see any other cabin or the main road from the cabin. Back deck was awesome. Lights and plenty of room. Hot tub was great. They had soo much seating and a grill also. Best rental yet!!!"

We had a wonderful family get-away for the holidays. Jason was communicating with us ahead of time about potential weather issues upon our arrival and during our stay. He was very helpful with an earlier check-in to avoid the weather. Rooms and beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed and we were able to make use of the extras - pool table, video games and hot tub. Make sure you do turn immediately when you see the sign to the cabin. It is definitely a hidden drive."
